Hannah’s heroes: Military Kids Scholarship
As a local nonprofit Veterans organization, Ruck ’N’ Run® is committed to Honoring Those Who Serve(d) ®.
Why: Hannah H. was a Military Kid who passed away on April 11, 2020, while her father was deployed overseas. Her stepmother also served in the Army. Our Hannah’s Heroes: Military Kids Scholarship was established in honor of Hannah and her Military family.
What: The Hannah’s Heroes: Military Kids Scholarship provides $1,000 to one female and one male graduating senior in the greater Springfield, MO area with at least one parent/legal guardian who has served (Veteran) or is currently serving in the U.S. Military. This scholarship is funded through (links):
Military Kids Mission: An exercise mission in April and opportunity to earn your Military Kids challenge coin.
How: Each applicant must submit an application and essay through the button/links on this page. The scholarships will be awarded during our annual Ruck ’N’ Run® event, Veterans Day weekend in Republic, MO. Awardees will be selected and notified prior to the event and must be able to attend the event for the scholarship presentation during our annual event closing ceremony. Awardees will have access to their scholarship through Mid-Missouri Bank in Republic. The deadline for this application and essay submission is 30 days before our annual event.
