Duties: Choose which one you'd like to help with or choose all of them. This is a fast-paced position that requires attention to detail, multi-tasking, along with great customer service. Participants will come to the table and pick up their event packet from volunteers.
Volunteers are responsible for giving participants their packet, after verifying ID and/or email confirmation. Their packet will include their t-shirt, race bib, etc. T-shirt size is only guaranteed for those who registered before Oct 15th.

Motivation Stations:

Details: November 11th at 7:00am to set up station. There's limited parking at the stations. It's on you to get to your station from set up to clean up. There are exercise stations along our route. Each station has a set of exercises each participant must complete before continuing. The exercises are complete on the "honor system."
Duties:
Prepare and tear down stations (station signs. For station 3, water jug, cups, and table.)
Ensure all Ruckers ‘N’ Runners leave the road to complete all exercises.
Motivate and cheer on participants. (Family friendly, no bad words, please!)
Current Military personnel/volunteers (in uniform) are in charge at each station.
Ensure station is clean throughout and at the completion of the event.
There are two distances. The split is at Station 3. Those doing the 5.56K route make a left (U-turn) after completing Mountain Climbers. Those doing the 7.62K route will take a right out of the driveway to go to their station 4, where they will make a U-turn.

Route Scouts:

Details: During the event. Step off is 9:00am, November 11th so you'll need to be in place at 8:50am.
Duties: Ensure participants stay on the route (except to perform exercises, they must leave the road) and know where to go. The split is at station 3. Function as "en route" information giver, motivators, and cheerers.

Finish Line:

Details: During the event (step off is 9:00am, November 11th). The first Runner may cross the finish line before the Rucker start at 9:15am.
Duties:
Set up finish line to welcome finishers.
Present finishers with their medal. Place medal over their head (unless they choose otherwise).
Give participants water.
Direct them to food booth.
Direct Ruckers to take canned goods to donation area (camo netting).

Food Booth:

Details: During the event (step off is 9:00am, November 11th). The first Runner may cross the finish line before the Ruckers step off at 9:15am. The food booth is for participants only (wearing a bib number). Make sure to encourage everyone to return to the finish line to cheer others on.
Duties: Set up - clean up. Serve food to participants only (bib required).

Drill Sergeant / Drill Instructor:

Details: We need your KNIFE-HANDS and LOUD voices to help "motivate" our participants at our stations along the route, where they complete exercises. (Motivate...think Fill Day but family friendly, no bad words, please!)
NCOIC at each station:
Prepare and tear down stations (Station signs. For station 3, water jug, cups, and table.)
Ensure all Ruckers ‘N’ Runners leave the road to complete all exercises.
Ensure everyone is completing exercises correctly. Provide instruction/proper form as needed. E.g. Station 3: Mountain Climbers are 4 count, 1, 2, 3, One. 1, 2, 3, Two and so on. The final station is 6 count burpees, which includes a push up on count 3.
Motivate and cheer on participants. (Family friendly, no bad words, please!)
Ensure other volunteers at the station are doing the right thing.
Ensure station is clean throughout and at the completion of the event.
You'll have a great time, get an event shirt, and do what you do best.
Uniform:
Current Drill Sergeant/Instructor: Camo uniform (or your branch's equivalent) with Drill Sergeant/Instructor hat.
Past Drill Sergeant/Instructor): Up to you.
You're welcome to camp out with us. Set up camp, Friday night by the fire pit.
